Item Description
10.75" tin litho wind-up w/built-in key. Unmarked but by Marx and known as "Funny Face" although an exact likeness of silent film actor Harold Lloyd. 1930s. Designed w/separate tin litho face plate and pair of arms, one of which holds original wire cane. Toy works and rocks back and forth as it moves about. Separate face panel moves up/down, giving the appearance of smiling. Front of red hatband has faded. Toy has overall scattered trace of aging and moderate paint wear to face w/scattered paint nicks/scratches. Noticeable traces of paint wear where die-cut arms rub against body but these are covered up when arms are in place. VG/Fine.
