Item Description
This 6.25x9.5" hardcover is 182 pages bound in black leather w/matching slipcase, both w/title
  stamped in gold "An Honorable Profession-A Tribute To Robert F. Kennedy." The book was limited to 1000 copies and this example has hand-inked "325." Book was "Authorized By The Kennedy Family" w/proceeds going to the RFK Memorial Fund. Publisher is Doubleday & Co. Text is accompanied by some photos and contains some RFK speeches but is mostly the text of eulogies including those by Ted Kennedy, John Glenn, a "Pierre Salinger Tribute" and many other tributes by newspapers and magazines around the country from June-July 1968. The page having book number "325" has four autographs. "Edward M Kennedy" is black ink without date or sentiment added. Others are to "Ed" and include undated comment "In the future you will remember today not as the end but as the beginning-Pierre Salinger," third autograph is "Next time we'll carry Delaware-you did a good job for us-Frank Mankiewicz 11-8-72," final autograph is dated 6/8/77 also to "Ed" followed by "With best wishes and fond memories of good and worthwhile battles fought together. John Douglas." Douglas was Assistant Atty. Gen. for Civil Rights in the JFK Administration. Book covers have a few small scratches and rubs. A couple small marks on the spine have removed a bit of black color from the leather at top and bottom tips. The slipcase has black color worn to tan on all four corners plus small scuffs on front and multiple scratches on back, mostly 2x3" area. Slipcase is VG, book is VF and rare. Comes w/Hake's COA.
