Item Description
Large 18x24" sheet of stiff paper has detailed pencil original art by legendary Fantasy/Sci-Fi and comic book artist Greg Hildebrandt. Art features popular DC Comics antihero Harley Quinn (depicted in her New 52 likeness), seated upon a throne-like chair, a whip in hand and her foot resting on the back of her former lover The Joker, who lays at her feet. A nice detail are the "J" initials on Joker's jacket buttons. Hildebrandt's composition perfectly compliment these two characters, who have recently surged in popularity due to their appearance in the hit movie "Suicide Squad." This art is one of a few Hildebrandt drew (July 2015) prior to creating the final painted version (see item #1457). While the final art differed slightly from that offered here (w/Harley Quinn holding a riding crop instead of a bullwhip), this original art presents Hildebrandt's process of posing the characters and planning lighting to add a sense of reality and depth. Art has been signed in pencil by Hildebrandt at bottom right. NM.
