Item Description
5.75" dia. base w/overall height of 7-3/8". Made in Germany w/anchor stamp and incised numbers on underside. 1895. Holder features full body image of well-dressed black man (dressed in late 18th Century clothing) leaning against large cotton bale and pointing w/grin on his face. The bale has open top and serves to hold cigars while smaller box next to it has open top designed to hold matches. Match holder box has tiny 1-16" edge nick, but o/w piece displays Exc.
