Item Description
The Liberty Head was a design issued by the US Mint in the early 19th Century. Introduced in 1839 the coin featured a design by Christian Gobracht. Offered here is an 1857-D example. The obverse features Gobracht's Liberty Head (also known as Coronet Head) depiction of Liberty while the reverse features an eagle w/shield clutching arrows and olive branch. XF Details. Rare "D" Denver mark.
