Item Description
10.75x14-1/8" sheet of onionskin paper has pencil original art for prototype jointed Howdy Doody puppet. Right corners have additional component sketches. This jointed puppet was produced in several sizes and for different issuers, including Wonder Bread. 1950s. Vertical and horizontal crease just off center, sheet is evenly aged and has some scattered handling wear. Fine overall. Comes w/sheet of onionskin paper that has been glued to 15-5/8x19" artboard. Sheet features pencil original art showing concept image of "Howdy Doody" TV studio, complete w/TV crew, Buffalo Bob Smith, Clarabell, Howdy Doody, Flub-A-Dub and Mr. Bluster as well as the Peanut Gallery. This was later turned into Blue Bonnet Howdy Doody TV Studio premium. Sheet has obvious glue staining and is VG. Unique pair for the Howdy Doody collector. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
