Item Description
From same issue as previous item #1401. 11x17" thin artboard has pen and ink w/inkwash original art by Michael Golden. Art is for page 7. Seven panel page features man telling story very similar to Walt Disney's, approaching a greeting card company about his cartoon rat character Hymie (who closely resembles Mickey Mouse in attire), only to be rejected. Depressed he realizes his artistic talent could be utilized to design clothing, for which he gains fame, opening high-end clothing establishment named Sidney Land (itself a play on Disneyland) and going on to release a Feature Fashion Film - "Pantasy." Penciled title/issued number at top margin along w/copious editorial notations. More notations along bottom margin. Scattered white correctional fluid corrections to text. Artboard has some faint scattered dust soiling along bottom, but art remains clean and Exc.
