Item Description
AYD replaced the Young Communist League during and after World War II. Among its sponsors were Langston Hughes, Adam Clayton Powell, Jr., and Mary McLeod Bethune.  First is 7/8" "Member 1946" button, second is member's brass "AYD" lapel stud with threaded post and screw cap on back and last is 1-1/8" litho by Imber showing three heads, including a black man, plus slogan "Fighting For Peace". All three are rare and NM to Mint. Ted Watts Collection.
