Item Description
Frame contains 8.75x9" handkerchief w/"Howdy Doody" name/portrait. © Bob Smith, 1950s. Lower left has been boldly signed in blue ink "Your Pals - Howdy Doody & Buffalo Bob Smith." Extremely clean w/just a lt. fold at center, signature is quite bold on the fabric. NM as professionally framed under UV-resistant glass. Comes w/glossy 8x10" publicity photo w/rare image of Howdy Doody in TV studio dressed as sailor atop console marked "S.S. Television." Character pennants hang at upper left. Typed press release attached to reverse dated Aug. 3, 1950 and mentions show sponsor Minute Maid's Fresh-Frozen Lemonade Mix. Reverse of photo has various inked/penciled notations and corrections as well as glue staining. Still displays Exc. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
