Item Description
Oversized 10x13" vintage sepia tone photo shows World War I flying ace and Medal of Honor recipient Rickenbacker (1890-1973) receiving figural aviation award from President Calvin Coolidge on White House lawn (April 14, 1925). America's top World War I flying ace, Rickenbacker shot down 26 enemy combatants during the War. During World War II, Rickenbacker bolstered war support, inspecting troops, operations and equipment and performing diplomatic duties. Photo is signed w/black ink at bottom, reading in part "Merry XMas And Happy New Year - Capt. E.V.  Rickenbacker - 1925." Photo has slight edge wear but is o/w Exc. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
