Item Description
8-5/8x11.5" frame contains matted display featuring lithograph print of American novelist, dark romantic and short story writer Nathaniel Hawthorne (1804-1864) perhaps best known for his 1850 novel "The Scarlet Letter." Display features 1x3-7/8" opening featuring clipped piece of letter reading "Your Friend Truly" in Hawthorne's hand as well as his signature. Letter was originally folded and clipping has three vertical creases as well as strip of aging across top. As framed, makes for a VF display. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
