Item Description
28x41.25" poster for 1946 boxing sports documentary presented by RKO Radio Pictures, Inc. Documentary featured official fight films of the June 19, 1946 rematch at Yankee Stadium, in which Louis beat Conn by knockout in the eighth round. Poster features caricatures of both boxers w/"Return World's Heavyweight Championship Battle" promotional text and note that the film would feature "All The Highlights Round By Round - Blow By Blow! Better Than A Ringside Seat!" Poster was originally folded and shows obvious wear along fold lines w/.5x1-1/8" hold at center fold crease intersection. Bottom left has some scattered droplets of silver paint as well as repairs to 1.25" and 6" tears. Pin holes at corners w/some scattered small margin tears and tiny corner tip off upper left. Good/VG overall.
