Item Description
Lot of four buttons, ranging in size from 1-5/8" to 3-3/8" dia. Earliest buttons are from the 1940s and are for Joe Louis and Billy Conn (Light Heavyweight Champion who lost twice to Louis, in 1941 and 1946). Both are 1-5/8" dia. and have ribbons w/figural boxing glove charm attachments. Ribbons exhibit some wear/aging but buttons remains bright and glossy. Exc. overall. Largest button dates to George Foreman's first stint as Heavyweight champ (1973-1974) and shows him wearing Championship belt. Some scattered lt. wear but still bright and glossy overall w/slight outward bump from pin on reverse. VF. 2-1/8" dia. Roberto Durán button dates to c. 1980 and features his "Hands of Stone" nickname in Spanish. Button has all over age spotting and is VG.
