Item Description
Original 5.25x8.75x2-1/8" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains six tin litho pieces from set. Lid features great panel illustration of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs having tea while side panels feature forest animals. Ohio Art Co. ©1937 WDE. Box is complete w/die-cut insert. Lid is evenly aged w/scattered edge/corner tip wear but remains free of splits. Fine overall. Set came in various configurations, this example includes 2" tall teapot (featuring portraits of Snow White, Doc, Dopey and Grumpy) w/lid, two 2.5" dia. saucers (featuring Snow White w/Doc and Grumpy), two 1" tall handled cups (featuring Sleepy, Happy, Bashful and Sneezy) and 4-1/8" dia. plate (featuring Snow White w/Dopey and Doc playing instruments). Pieces have even lt. aging and show trace wear. VF to Exc. overall.
