Item Description
1.25" w/no back paper or maker name. J. Hamilton Lewis was elected Senator from Ill. in 1912 and was instrumental in propelling Wilson's progressive New Freedom legislation.  Given the syntax it's our opinion that this button dates to his unsuccessful re-election campaign in 1918. A 1/8" hairline scratch in the field above "Wants", otherwise super clean. Exc. displaying Mint. First we can recall offering in our 50 years. Ron Koot Collection.
