Item Description
4". Produced by Keystone Badge Co. w/"Reading" union bug along curl just right of 12 o'clock. This outstanding button features a smiling elephant and blue-toned floating head portraits of the 1960 Republican candidates w/last names below. A pair of trivial hairline separations along reverse at 5 and 11 o'clock that occurred during manufacturing that are mentioned for total accuracy. Reverse metal back has minor wear including "Diane G" faintly scratched into the surface. Otherwise only a partial red thumb print in the field, under the cello, just to the left of Nixon's portrait. NM displaying Mint as made. Considered the most sought after 1960 Nixon jugate and likely the top Nixon button from any campaign. This is only the second example we have encountered in our 50 years and the first to be offered publicly. Ron Koot Collection.
