Item Description
1.5" and 2.25". c. 1956. First has small 'V' shaped scratch affecting Stevenson's left shoulder otherwise only light paint wear. Exc. Second reads "Dollars For Democrats" and remains choice w/only a few scattered missing dots of paint contained to the extreme edges. NM. Among the earliest campaign buttons to reference television, a relatively new medium at the time. These are fascinating pieces of historical foreshadowing to the huge impact television would soon have on American political campaigns. Ron Koot Collection.
