Item Description
1" w/union back stamp and "Bastian Bros." on curl. Small text at bottom reads "Local 9 CIO Shipyard Workers." Two barely visible light gray spots of toning at 2 and 8 o'clock at extreme edges that are likely the result of the fading that has affected the red ink. Despite this color fade the blue ink used in the caricature at center remains strong. VF. The outstanding caricature of Roosevelt smoking from his iconic cigarette holder combined w/the piece's persistent rarity make it among the most sought after FDR campaign buttons. Ron Koot Collection.
