5.25" tall and 4"dia steel torch. 1880s. Designed to keep the torch upright at all times during the parade. Wear consistent w/light use. VF. Artifacts from torchlight parades are always of keen interest to collectors and this is a fascinating example that speaks to the ingenuity that went into these events that were central to the political culture of the era.
