Item Description
13/16" back paper with very small W&H maker text c. 1903-1912 plus larger text "John R. Bellis/ Patent Designer/24 Beaver St./N.Y. City U.S.A." There is also a small inked inventory number by Rex Stark. "Bolsheviki" was the name given to the majority faction at the Second Congress of the Russian Social Democratic Workers' Party in 1903. This group sided with Lenin in the split that followed the Congress and subsequently became the Russian Communist Party. This has to be the first American made button in opposition to what became the Russian Communist Party. Cello is essentially Mint.
