Item Description
15x15.5" wooden base has central, fabric-covered spring coil that holds jigsawed wooden face w/paper-covered image of Charlie Chaplin. Back has wooden battery box which is connected to glass eyes that would light up when attached cigarette sensor in Chaplin's mouth was struck by ball. Spring causes head to swing back and forth, making for a moving target. Made in France, bottom has slightly worn "Rils" foil sticker. 1920s. Untested. Face shows some lt. wear and fabric ribbon at collar is aged. Base has some scattered moisture staining. Fine/VF. Great display piece.
