16x18.5" frame contains vintage matte finish photo that has been professionally matted and framed w/stunning custom Art Deco mat. Photo features stunning soft focus portrait of Valentino, one of the Silent Era's most popular movie icon and a sex symbol of the 1920s. Noted for his films "The Sheik, Blood And Sand" and "The Eagle," his death in 1926 caused pandemonium in New York City as 10,000 people attempted to pay their respects at his funeral and suicides of despondent fans were reported. Photo has been boldly signed in black ink, Valentino signing his typical "R. Valentino" signature, adding "To Belle" inscription w/what appears to be Italian script.
