Item Description
Lot of four litho buttons. 1-1/8" dia. litho for "Flash Gordon Club" was issued by "Chicago Herald And Examiner" c. 1935. Name of Chicago maker "Geraghty" on curl. Some surface wear w/a few tiny indents. Fine. Matched pair of 13/16" dia. litho buttons show portraits of Flash Gordon and Dale Arden. From set of seven buttons issued in the 1930s by Parisian Novelty Co.  These were the only two Flash Gordon-related buttons in the set. Some lt. wear but still bright and glossy. VF. 1" dia. has Buck Rogers portrait w/"16 Pages of Comics" text and was issued c. 1934 by "Saturday Chicago American" newspaper as a set of 10 character buttons. Some lt. wear but still bright and glossy. VF. Classic lot of litho buttons for these early Sci-Fi heroes.
