See previous item #1235. "Newsdealer - The Business Paper For Publication Retailers." ©1948  Newsdealer Magazine, Inc. Cover features photo showing boy reading "Superman" #52 (10th Anniversary issue that retold Superman's origin) beside his father. Inside front cover has full figure of Superman w/word balloon reading in part "Thank You, Mr. Newsdealer, For Selling 101,722,107 Superman DC Comics In 1947." Other content of note within this issue includes - full page ad w/children reaching for issue of "Whiz Comics" w/"Sales On Fawcett's 12 Comics Magazines Exceed 5,000,000 Copies Per Month" text, several photos of comic racks w/titles including - "Action Comics, Batman, Captain America, Star Spangled Comics, The Lone Ranger, Walt Disney's Comics And Stories, Whiz Comics, World's Finest Comics, The Human Torch, Jumbo Comics, Jungle Comics, Dick Tracy, Felix The Cat, Mighty Mouse, Master Comics, Popeye, Porky Pig, Roy Rogers Comics, Wonder Woman" and many more. Another full page advertises "Archie Comics," noting "Archie Comics - Read By More - Many More Teen-Agers Than Any Magazine Published," featuring cover to "Archie Comics" #34. Other ads include Lev Gleason Publications (showing "Daredevil, Crime And Punishment, Crime Does Not Pay, Boy Comics" and "Desperado") and EC Comics (showing "Moon Girl, Crime Patrol, War Against Crime" and "Gunfighter"). Upper left has small hole punch. Pinch creases to spine, which shows wear. Cover has a few spots of moisture staining. VG/Fine overall. A must for the comics historian. Limited distribution trade publication.
