Item Description
Superb 12.5" tall solid resin scratch-built figure (on 6.5x8.5" base for overall height of 13.5") by modeler extraordinaire Terry Reynolds of California. His work is featured on pages 25-26 of "Superhero Collectibles: A Pictorial Price Guide" by Bill Bruegman. Captain America is depicted as played by Dick Purcell in the 1944 Republic movie serial. Part of a series of custom figures (see Flash Gordon #2121, Captain Marvel #1805 and The Phantom #1804) created by Reynolds in the 1990s. Wonderfully painted and detailed, this figure comes from an era before the collectibles figures and statues of today were commonplace. Exc. Stunning custom piece featuring an exceptional depiction of Purcell as Captain America.
