Item Description
3-1/8x5.5" mailing envelope w/"Captain America" return address, handwritten recipient address and full body Captain America and Bucky portrait illustrations contain complete membership kit issued in 1941. Envelope has some lt. scattered handling wear w/some scattered staining on back but front still displays VF. Kit consists of 1.5" tall badge, version w/bright brass luster. Tiny trace of wear but near full paint and badge retains bright luster. Exc. Second version membership card measures 2.25x3-7/8.75" and has been neatly signed in ink (name differing from that on envelope). "A" on Captain America's cowl is squared off at top whereas first version was pointed. Blue color is much darker than first version as well as differing placement of type and different wording. Captain America art by Al Avison. Card has some lt. handling wear w/two creases but remains clean. Fine/VF. Very rare as a complete kit and among the most desirable of all comic book-related kits.
