Item Description
Superb 13.25" tall solid resin scratch-built figure (on 4" dia. clear acrylic base) by modeler extraordinaire Terry Reynolds of California. His work is featured on pages 25-26 of "Superhero Collectibles: A Pictorial Price Guide" by Bill Bruegman. The Phantom is depicted as played by Tom Tyler in the 1943 Columbia movie serial. Part of a series of custom figures (see Flash Gordon #2121, Captain America #1910 and Captain Marvel #1805) created by Reynolds in the 1990s. Wonderfully painted and detailed, this figure comes from an era before the collectibles figures and statues of today were commonplace. Some scattered dust soiling, o/w Exc. Stunning custom piece featuring nice detail to skull on The Phantom's belt and ring.
