Item Description
Lot of three. 1-1/8" tall die-cut "Mandrake Magician's Club" membership enamel paint on brass badge was 1934 premium issued by "Taystee Bread," whose logo appears on badge. Tiny KFS copyright text along bottom. Widely considered among the first superheroes, Mandrake the Magician is nicely depicted on this piece. Scattered wear to paint. VF overall. 1.25" dia. cello button issued in 1943 through "Pep Comics." Button features classic image of The Shield bending metal beam w/"Truth - Justice - Patriotism - Courage" code and "Shield G-Man Club" name at top. Glossy and Exc. 1.25" dia. Australian button issued in the 1940s for "The Phantom's Club" features great portrait of The Ghost Who Walks" w/"Member" text at bottom. Bright, glossy and NM. A trio of classic club premiums.
