Item Description
9x12" program w/24 pages. This "Souvenir Program Pictorial Album" features program of stars for 1956 concert. Program has been signed by total of six performers- including Jimmy Merchant of The Teenagers featuring Frankie Lymon, Clyde McPhatter, Joe Turner, Bill Pickney and Johnny Moore of The Drifters and Ruben Grundy of The Colts. All have signed on the page featuring their photo/biography. McPhatter (1932-1972), who recorded such hits as "Have Mercy Baby" and "I Never Knew", succumbed to alcohol-induced heart, liver and kidney disease at the age of 39. Cover shows obvious wear, w/pinch creases to spine and handling creases w/1x1.25" moisture stain on front cover and some faint scattered moisture staining to back cover. Cover is just VG, but pages remain clean and VF overall w/nice signatures. Comes with Hake's COA and Roger Epperson/REAL LOA.
