Item Description
Each of these brass decoding devices ranges in size from 1.25" to 2" and each has a reverse pin. The set begins with her first 1935 decoder. The 1936 decoder includes a slide-off secret compartment on the reverse. The 1937 decoder has an outstanding sunburst art deco design. The 1938 is the largest of the group with a large star and wreath design. 1939 has some small wear traces but still retains vast majority of luster. The 1940 decoder is highly embossed showing eagle perched on shield with flowing flag in the background accented by text "U.S.A." Reverse is dated for 1940 and carries her "R.O.A." initials along with a serial number. A serial number also appears on the back of the 1939 decoder. The 1939 piece is VF and the other five are NM to Mint.
