Item Description
17x22" thin paper poster features large photo image of Roberto Clemente, who holds baseball bat w/"1,275 RBI's" painted text. "Hard Hitter" caption below photo w/additional text noting "Outfielder Roberto Clemente Became The All-Time Pittsburgh Pirates' Runs-Batted-In Champ When He Belted A Two Runs Homer In A Recent Dodgers Game. He Now Has 1,275 RBI's." This references the June 20, 1972 game in which Clemente secured the record. Poster was printed just after the feat by Elliot Service Company, Inc. Clemente would tragically die in a plane crash just two months later, having added an additional 30 RBIs to his professional total. Poster has notable margin wear, w/numerous tiny tears and .75" tear at top center. Bottom corners also show notable wear and poster has scattered handling creases. VG overall, but majority of margin issues would be covered by a mat. Scarce.
