Item Description
Pair of 9x12" sheet music folios. First is two-page folder by Shapiro, Bernstein & Co. ©1942 Superman, Inc. Front cover has wonderful specialty art w/Superman standing in classic pose w/swooning women at his feet. Left side has photo of music writer Freddie Fisher w/facsimile autograph. Heavy horizontal fold at center w/moderate corner tip wear, including two inked numbers along right margin of front cover, which has also been stamped "Complimentary - Not For Sale." VG. Scarce. Second two-page folder is titled "Superman March" and does not feature illustrations. Famous Music Corporation, ©1946. Features the music used in the original Fleischer "Superman" cartoons of the 1940s, written by Sammy Timberg (who composed all the music for Fleischer "Superman" and "Popeye" cartoons). Some lt. handling wear but VF/Exc. overall. Rare. Franco Toscanini Collection.
