Item Description
During Alice Cooper's "Welcome To My Nightmare" tour, which ran March 21, 1975 to April 4, 1977, a giant costumed Cyclops character was introduced into the show. Offered here is an immense 26.5" tall (to top of horn) latex and faux fur replica of the original costume's head, which was later created by the same artist who made the original for Alice Cooper's tour. Head has been filled w/latex foam and makes for an impressive display piece. Horn shows lt. wear at base where attached, but head is o/w Exc. Comes w/glossy 6.5x8.75" Syndication International news service photo showing Alice leaping into the original Cyclops' arms at an airport. Back has text noting"Alice Gets A New 'Girlfriend'" w/text noting the creature's 11 foot height. Back also has news service stamp. Exc. Lot also includes two other photos attached to artboard w/onionskin overlays that were published. One features different shot of Alice w/Cyclops at airport, though Alice has been airbrushed out of this photo (w/crop mark for just cyclops on overlay sheet). Other photo has "Pg. 10" notation at border and shows Cyclops overwhelming Alice w/eyebeam (added airbrushing) on stage. A unique pair of photos.
