Item Description
8.5x11" three-page contract dated Sept. 11, 1972. Contract is between American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada/Associated Booking Corporation and "Dr. John, The Night Tripper" for Sept. 28, 1972 Dr. John concert at the Municipal Stadium in Waterbury, CT. This was just a few months after the release of Dr. John's popular album of covers of New Orleans classics, "Dr. John's Gumbo." First page noted performance fee of $3,000 (w/corrected $1,500 deposit upon signing contract). This sheet has been signed by Dr. John in blue felt tip pen. Top margin has some notations and inkstamp. Second sheet is attached rider noting employer is to provide a Hammond B3 organ (w/specifications), two Leslie speakers, Baby Grand Piano (tuned) and P.A. system. This sheet has also been signed in blue felt tip pen by Dr. John. Top has small stapled slip noting attached rider. Last sheet is booking slip, noting Flo & Eddie as other performers. Some oxidation to staples, but o/w sheet remain clean and VF overall. Comes with Hake's COA and Roger Epperson/REAL LOA.
