Item Description
Sizes are about 1.25" to 2-3/8" tall. Three of the pieces are in brass with the others either silvered brass or nickel-plated. First item has a pair of small mounting holes and is flat with no pin on the reverse while all the other items do have pins. The rim of this first item reads "North Bergen Hack 189/244 License". The remaining items, in order top to bottom and left to right name the following locations with the years indicated if there is one: Vicksburg, Worchester, Mass 1916-1917, Detroit 1924, Flint, Mich. 1925 (light surface wear), Newark 1927, Newark 1942, New Brunswick 1945, Atlantic City 1948, Hazel Park 1948, Brockton 1949 (light surface wear), Downers Grove, Ill. 1950, Des Moines 1955. Of the 13 items, two include the words "Hack" or "Hackney", the 1924 Detroit badge references "Public Vehicle Driver" and the remaining ten items include the words "Taxi" or "Taxi Cab". A couple in VG condition with the rest Fine to Exc. Many early dates.
