Item Description
22.25x28" cardboard poster. 1936. Featuring "For Governor William F. Bleakley" at center surrounded by six state level Republican candidates. Additional text at bottom reads "Vote Every Eagle/Vote Row B On Machine." A 5" vertical tear at bottom right affecting portrait of "John A. May," a 1" diagonal tear on left edge near center and a 1.5" vertical tear at top center affecting the "O" in "For." Otherwise light brown stain at bottom right corner that does not affect graphics and overall moderate handling and surface wear. VG. Oversized cardboard posters of this era rarely survive and this is the first example of this unusual New York State piece we have encountered in our 50 years.
