Item Description
1.75" tall and 2.5" dia. Diminutive porcelain tea cup w/green transfer featuring three women seated at a table taking tea. Reverse has transfer w/text "Ladies All I Pray Make Free And Tell Me How You Like Your Tea." Interior has ornate border around rim and tea pot at bottom. A 1" vertical crack opposite the handle in the field not affecting graphics. Otherwise only typical crazing and minor wear. Fine. No hallmark but an example of this pattern credited to the English group Thomas Fell and Co. resides in the Victoria And Albert Museum where it is noted to be lead-glazed earthenware c. 1850. A rare early suffrage item.
