Item Description
1.25" with back paper by Ehrman, Boston. The seated bear with open arms poses beneath the name of the first "departmentalized" store which was located in Boston and named, as per the text above the toy bear, "Jordan Marsh Co." This bear shares many features of the 1903 earliest designs by Steiff. The earliest depiction of a Teddy Bear stuffed toy on a button that we know of. Our last example exceeded $200. High gloss and Exc., displaying Mint.
