Item Description
1.75" with curl naming maker Offset Gravure Corp. No back paper as typical, although examples do exist with a back paper from the exhibit titled "Streets Of Paris". Those had a serial number that could be matched to a number posted outside the exhibit of Michael Todd's Hall of Music each evening to gain a free admission. Those papers must have been inserted only on certain days and Bud & Lou must have been associated with the exhibit on a continuing basis as we have seen a flyer from that exhibit promoting this button with the phrase "Button, Button-Whose Got The Lucky Button?" Flyer also stated the comedy duo made appearances at "Street Of Paris" to distribute their "Campaign Buttons". There are numerous modern crude fakes of this button. This is the original distributed at the fair in 1939. Exc. and displays Mint.
