Item Description
1.5" showing Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh. This button was originally issued in the 1.75" size for the premier of the movie in Atlanta, 1939. This 1.5" version has the same text and design as the 1.75" version but it was issued a few years later as Atlanta residents had several post-1939 celebrations and used these buttons to mark the occasion. There also exists a 1.25" button from 1939 originally issued with a red ribbon containing the movie information. This 1.5" button, almost certainly from the 1940s, has a virtual pinpoint black dot to the left of Leigh's nose caused by a clog in the dot screen as printed but otherwise condition is essentially Mint as made. In our experience this version is equally as scarce as the other two.
