Item Description
Sizes are 7/8" to 1-9/16" oval. First has W&H paper used 1900-1912. Beneath a locomotive is the text "What Is That?" On the rim are symbols representing USA, Canada and Mexico. Second and third buttons have W&H papers c. 1915-1920. The first with speeding locomotive reads "National Railway Employees Protective Association." The second item with scene of locomotive on tracks running along a scenic river has initials of labor group with text "B.R.S. Of A./Oct." Shown prominently are a pair of railway signals to represent this union. A small grey mark at 10 o'clock is in the printing. Fourth with W&H paper is dated for 1898 showing longhorn steer with reference "Excursion To Mexico Via Southern Pacific-Sunset Route." Small bit of grey on the cream background. Fifth, without back paper, shows colorful union logo and advertises "Keystone Overalls." Last has real photo beneath slightly rippled celluloid showing massive engine and tender with name on the side "New York Central." All are Exc. to Mint except as noted. The Keystone button shows up once in a while. The other five are rare.
