Item Description
3" tall beautifully hand engraved gold and black enamel badge in three segments each with ornate detailing. Hanger reads "1 Mile Handicap Amateur". Middle panel reads "Maryland Div. L.A.W. Frederick, July 3-5, 97". Lower segment has spoked wheel design along with a wing all encircled by a wreath and five somewhat heart-shaped segments each with additional engraving. The reverse of the center bar has engraved name "Robt. L. French". The back of the lower segment has stamp of maker "Braxmar N.Y." While unmarked, the badge tests as 14K and weighs 10.6 grams. With gold at $1,285.00 per ounce or more, the gold value exceeds $200.00 or more. Essentially Mint.
