Item Description
11.25x14-3/8" Strathmore artboard has Joe Musial's pen and ink original art for cover to the Dec. 1948 issue of "Ace Comics," published by David McKay. Cover features Fritz Katzenjammer of "The Katzenjammer Kids" carrying a frozen over fishbowl w/ladder and diving board for fish to dive through hole in ice. "Ace Comics" logo is printed and "The Phantom" inset circle portrait paste-over is also printed. All else is original art. Lower right has glue staining from now missing text paste-over and upper left has 1.25x7.25" strip of surface paper neatly removed (And not affecting art). Musial has sign at lower left. Back has some preliminary pencil art of fishbowl. Fine overall.
