Item Description
1.25" with both back paper and curl naming maker "Baltimore Badge & Nov. Company." Button depicts a seated figure of Miss Liberty with her lower area draped in an American flag. To the right stands a large American Eagle with partially extended wings and in the background are the tiny faces of about ten children. To the left foreground Liberty places her hand upon the head of a young child who wears a skirt-like garment with very tiny text "LA P" with "1803" below. Below the scene is a partial design of the United States with the "Louisiana Purchase 1803" area designated by its special coloration. Collectible Pin-Back Buttons Color Plate page 154 specimen.
