Item Description
First is 7/8" with Bastian paper and second is 13/16" with W&H paper. First button reads "Buster Brown Comedies Club Member".  This is one of only five examples we've seen issued to promote a series of two-reelers released by Universal 1925-1929. Pictured are Arthur Trimble as Buster and Doreen Turner as Mary Jane. Their dog Tige is also shown and he went on to star as the first dog Pete in the Our Gang series, see next item. A rare button and notable for being a very early movie related club button appealing to children. NM displaying Mint.  Second is nicely colored button featuring a pair of blue lightening bolts to represent radio air waves. This button was issued to promote the 1929 program heard over CBS. NM displaying Mint.
