Item Description
1.25" with back paper by Baltimore Badge. Bright gold rim with text "South Carolina Inter-State And West Indian Exposition/Charleston, 1901-1902." Beneath a palm tree are two smiling black boys with their four hands grasping a single giant watermelon slice captioned in tiny text below "Down In Dixie". A gorgeous and rare multi-color button we've seen about a half dozen times in our 50 years. Essentially Mint. Our last in Auction #214 exceeded $300.
