Item Description
2" dia. w/silvering on front/back case pocket watch, which has a number of small navigational/exploration symbols at edges of case front. Back of case has "Trail Blazers" name at top. Below this is arctic scene w/sail ship and Fokker airplane w/portrait of Byrd against globe and flanked by American flags at bottom center. Additional small text reads "Commemorating Byrd's Antarctic Expedition." c. 1930. Plating shows just lt. wear and is about 97% complete. VF. Dial features image of Fokker airplane flying over Antarctic settlement. Smaller seconds dial at bottom center. Dial is Exc. Running. Very scarce.
