Item Description
Oversized 10x15" photo shows Ben Chapman (1928-2008) in the Gillman suit from Universal-International's 1954 horror film "Creature From The Black Lagoon" carrying female lead Kay Lawrence (Julie Adams) in one of the film's promotional images. Chapman played the Creature on land while Ricou Browning played the Creature in underwater scenes. Both Chapman and Adams have signed in blue felt tip pen, Chapman adding "Welcome To My Black Lagoon" inscription. Photo has some scattered handling wear along top and is Fine/VF w/signatures displaying Exc. As Ricou Browning is still doing the convention circuit, this piece would make for a perfect triple-signed monster collectible. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
