Item Description
Matched pair of 20x30" thin paper posters issued by The Ministry of Labour and National Service. Both were printed in London by J. Weiner Ltd. 1940s. Posters feature photo images of English soldier and sailor and are based on famous English World War I poster of Lord Kitchener pointing at viewer extolling them to join British army, which in turn influenced James Montgomery Flagg's iconic Uncle Sam poster. Posters feature text like "You Can Help To Build Me A Gun" and "You Can Help To Build Me A Ship" and have been folded as issued. Scattered wear w/a few tiny holes w/archival tape repairs on back of soldier poster. Still Fine/VF for display.
