Item Description
1.25" w/W&H inscription on curl at 6 o'clock. Roosevelt's portrait is flanked by text "St. Louis Dedication/ April 30, 1903" and features his last name above.  Produced to mark the dedication of the Louisiana Purchase Exposition occurring a year before the actual opening. The event featured Roosevelt and was described by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch as "The Most Stupendous Parade The West Has Ever Known." Trivial surface wear and 1/16" off center to the right. NM displaying Mint as made. A striking example of a historic single day event button.
